With Ash Ketchum eventually winning the Pokémon World
Champion in Pokémon Journeys episode 132, viewers have been debating whether or
not the anime is over.
With most series offering fans a sequence in its finale when
all of the characters in the anime show up one more time, Pokémon Journeys saw
a similar scenario where all of Ash and Pikachu's buddies make an appearance at
the end of the final fight. Because this was inconclusive in determining if the
anime had finished, viewers were left to seek explanations online.
Warning: This video includes Pokémon Journeys anime
spoilers.
Three more episodes
of the Pokémon Journeys anime will premiere.
The Pokémon Journeys anime will have three more episodes
before it concludes. The anime will take a week off next week before returning
with Episode 133, titled Project Mew, on November 25, 2022.
A sneak peek has also been made available online. At the end
of episode 132, Ash receives a call from Goh, who is on a quest with Gary to
find Goh.
While the reason for the call was not revealed, Goh may have
called Ash to congratulate him or to ask for his assistance with the mission.
The trailer depicts Goh and his team traversing the harsh terrain in search of
the legendary Pokémon.
The next two episodes will be released on December 2, 2022,
with Pokémon Journeys episode 134, Seize the Future! The following episode,
titled Pokémon! I'm Glad I Got to Meet You!!, will be released on December 9,
2022.
While the trailers for those two episodes have yet to be
posted, most fans may be concerned about the last episode's name. Pokémon! I'm
So Glad I Met You!! sounds similar to the name of the anime's debut episode,
Pokémon - I Choose You!, which might imply that Pokémon Journeys episode 135 is
the anime series' last episode.
Given how Ash eventually became the Pokémon champion, he has
already accomplished his aim. Unless the anime depicts Ash discovering a new
goal for his journey ahead, or they change the protagonist, the Pokémon anime
may be coming to an end.
What can we
anticipate from the Pokémon anime following episode 135?
Given that the starter Pokémon for Pokémon Scarlet and
Violet have been revealed, Ash's career as a Pokémon trainer is likely to
resume in the near future.
On the other hand, the prospect of Goh replacing Ash as the
new protagonist exists. Given that Pokémon has always featured at least a trio
of explorers, the fact that Pokémon Journeys only features a pair suggests that
Goh might be a far more important character than he is portrayed to be.
Finally, viewers will have to wait until December 9, 2022,
to find out if the anime is indeed coming to an end or if it will be continued.
