To mark the release of the musical Shingeki no Kyojin -the Musical-, Season 1 of the anime will be screened for free.
To mark the launch of the musical "Attack On Titan -the Musical-," the first twenty-five episodes of the anime Attack On Titan, the finale of which made it immensely controversial, will be aired for free on YouTube. Go Ueki's stage musical adaptation of Hajime Isayama's hugely popular manga series Attack On Titan, first announced in September 2022, will premiere in January 2023, with Eren, Mikasa, Armen, and possibly even the titans themselves singing and dancing on stages in Osaka and Tokyo, with the latest technology helping to bring the scale of the anime series to the stage.
The first image and video for the Attack On Titan musical have been released. For the theatrical adaption, an official website and Twitter account have also been established.
Despite the fact that Isayama's bestselling manga series has concluded, the Attack On Titan franchise continues in the Japanese entertainment industry, with the upcoming next anime installment and musical adaptation directed by Go Ueki (Hypnosis Mic Division Rap Battle Rule the stage), alongside Masafumi Hata, who is penning the script, KEN THE 390 directing the music for the stage play adaptation, and lyrics by Kaori Miura.
The musical's cast is as follows: Sena, as Sasha Braus, Mitsu Murata, as Hannes, Takeshi Hayashino, as Keith Shadis, Masanori Tomita, as Dimo Reeves, Mimi Maihane, as Carla Jaeger, Mitsuru Karahashi, as Grisha Jaeger, Riona Tatemichi, as Hange Zoe, Ryo Matsuda, as Levi, and Takuro Ohno, as Erwin Smith.
The premiere performance of "Shingeki no Kyojin -the Musical-" will take place on January 7, 2023, at the Orix Theater in Osaka, and will continue through January 9, before moving to Tokyo's Nippon Seinenkan Hall from January 14 to January 24. The general public was able to purchase tickets on November 5, 2022.
In order to reproduce the universe of Attack On Titan, the musical stage play adaption will blend classic stage methods with the newest technology and gimmicks, as well as music. To mark the premiere of the musical adaption at the Orix Theater on January 7, all 25 episodes of Attack On Titan season 1 will be available for free on Kodansha's YouTube page until February 5, 2023.
Season 1 aired from April to September 2013, season 2 from April to June 2017, part 1 of season 3 from July to October 2018, part 2 of season 3 from April to June 2019, part 1 of "The Final Season" from December 2020 to March 2021, and part 2 of "The Final Season" from January to April 2022. The finale of "The Final Season" will premiere in 2023. Wit Studio produced seasons 1–3 of the anime series, and MAPPA produced season 4.
